If you’re looking to get the most out of your next trip to New Jersey, then you want TSA PreCheck. The program allows travelers to move through security faster than normal and not have to take off their shoes or remove liquids from their bags. If you’re unfamiliar with how it works, here are four airports in New Jersey where you can sign up for TSA PreCheck:
You can check in for TSA PreCheck at the airline’s ticket counter. Bring your valid photo ID and boarding pass—you’ll be asked to show these as you pass through service lines at the airport. You can also register for TSA PreCheck online or at the airport; just make sure to bring your confirmation number along with you!
Atlantic City Airport
If you’re flying out of the Atlantic City Airport, you’ll be happy to know that TSA PreCheck is available at Terminal A. It comes in two forms: $85 for five years and $100 for ten years.
If you’re a frequent flyer, it might be worth your while to spring for the longer term option. The cost will only go up over time, so if you think you’ll need TSA PreCheck down the road anyway (and why wouldn’t you?), it makes sense to invest in a long-term pass now rather than wait until later when they could cost more money or become harder to get altogether.
Teterboro Airport is a general aviation airport in the borough of Teterboro, New Jersey. It is located in the southern portion of Bergen County, just west of Teaneck and north of Hackensack. The name comes from that of an early landowner in the area, one Colonel John Teter.
The airport is used by corporate aircraft and general aviation operations. It also serves as a reliever airport for Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR).
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2017–2021 categorized it as a small hub primary commercial service facility.
- Trenton/Mercer Airport
TSA PreCheck is available at the security checkpoint in Terminal A, B and C. The TSA PreCheck enrollment center is located in Terminal A, B and C. Hours of operation are 4:30am – 9:30pm
The takeaway is this: the airport is the only place that offers TSA PreCheck in NJ. If you don’t have TSA PreCheck and want to get it, your only option is to go through security at Newark or JFK Airport.
